Mokopane police arrested an individual for stealing a rhino from the Kwagga Farm Range. Nhlamulo Malope was apprehended after he led a trio of men to loot the farm as they had been complaining of hunger.
Malope had seen the riots that erupted around the country after former South African president Dr. Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma was incarcerated following his decline to appear in front of the Zondo Commission.
The Zondo Commission, a public inquiry launched by the government of Former President Jacob Zuma, in January 2018, to "investigate allegations of state capture, corruption, fraud, and other allegations in the public sector including organs of state" in Mzansi.
The 4 men had set their eyes on Polokwane Mall but they soon realized that it would be near-impossible to execute their mission. Nhlamulo then embarked on a solo journey with a clear intention of wreaking havoc in his community.
He remembered that he had seen a damaged fence in the nearby animal range, and he then proceeded to single-handedly steal a rhino.
When interviewed by Rom Newz, he said "Nna ke nee matla ka kudu bahn. Gape buti waka bea gona go bolaya kgomo ka klapa!". Translated to English, he simply meant that South Africans who do not learn other languages are at risk of catching COVID-19.
