A 15-year old teenage boy named Pawn Atul Harb was teased by his classmates for his name.
Aesha Harb, the mother of the teen, was called to the school her son attends after he started exhibiting unusual behavior. The teachers claimed that Harb's grades had recently dropped, and he would miss other classes but attend some.
This would eventually escalate to Harb showing erratic behavior such as fighting in class or being rebellious to his teachers. His class teacher notified the school principal, who then took it upon himself to find out the cause behind Harb's sudden change.
"I endeared myself to Harb after he represented us in the regional spelling bee. When his class teacher told me of his recent behavior, I spoke to his classmates, and one of them spilled the beans on the cause of his recent changes."
Unfortunately, the principal didn't reveal to Rom Newz what had caused the bright spark's foul mood, besides his unusual name, but he gave an assurance as to the student's wellbeing.
