A man threw a party after a loanshark he owed thousands of Rands died.
Sipho Maluleke became a trending topic on Tumblr after he shared snaps of himself partying it up with money that was allegedly supposed to be received by a deceased mashonisa.
Maluleke revealed that he been recently stressing, and he had to "hustle" thrice as much as he'd done in the past two months. This was partly due to the fear of getting his third finger broken after the loanshark broke two in the previous consecutive months due to missed payments.
It seems the 48-year old mashonisa had not disclosed the ways he made his money to his family. Maluleke discovered this when he went to deliver the amount he'd owed, and when he questioned his family about his abuser's whereabouts, they simply told him that he had died, and they would prefer if he kept a distance.
It is alleged that mashonisa had beaten a client who got him arrested, and the family thought Maluleke was one of those in a long list of the mashonisa's victims.
"I had R9 575 in my possession when I went to his home, and upon my discovery that he had died, I immediately felt relief and joy. I took R5000 and threw myself a party with a few of my friends who had helped me gather the money," said Maluleke.
The deceased mashonisa's family declined to comment.
