What started as a good party ended badly for Mpho Ado Marobe, popularly known as Restless B. Soul to his fans, after he had done what he was hired to do, make people dance. The deejay had prepared a playlist fit for a tough crowd, and the reception he received angered the resident disc jockeys.
His playlist featured songs that set the dancefloor on fire. But to the surprise of the resident DJs, Restless B. Soul's music was not available for immediate detection by the music discovery app, Shazam.
It is alleged that DJs colluded to assault Marobe as he was apparently labeled as "thinking he is better."
"I had just finished my set, and I was headed to the bathroom when these 3 guys I had recently seen playing started attacking. I tried defending myself with the karate I was taught by my father, who is 9th dan in Soo Bahk Do, but they were one too many. I suffered a burst lip and bloodshot eyes," said the muso.
