A Gauteng University student was admitted to Hillcliff Hospital after being assaulted by his student for allegedly frying 9 eggs alone.

It has become a norm for many underprivileged students to share expenses like lights, water, and even food. Some will go as far as sharing clothes or undergarments.

Ado Marobi got the shock of his life when he arrived at his shared residential quarters to find his roommate, Emmanuel Chauke, frying 9 eggs. Chauke had sneaked from classes after planning to consume the eggs then pretend as if they had been robbed.

Marobi returned to his dormitory after getting a stomach bug. He had intentions of getting medicine for the stomachache, but he was met by the smell of eggs upon arrival. As a person who experienced an abusive childhood, his reaction to the betrayal was to do the only thing that made sense to him; punch his roommate.

"I always knew he was violent, but I never thought he'd hit me. This a person who, on many occasions, revealed that I was his only true friend. I am deeply disappointed!", the egg-destroyer revealed.

Chauke did not lay charges.
