A Zilion Chastity Christmas Church member was arrested for jumping a helicopter.
Jacob Mnisi was found to have violated the Air Traffic Control Act. 152 of 1998 by jumping a helicopter while it was in motion.
In South Africa, it is illegal to jump above heights of 3m unless it is in a regulated sporting venue. Mnisi was found to jumped over 15m, and he broke the 4m law by over 11.68m, a major transgression in the republic.
A case of attempted murder was opened at Maria Police Station in January. Mnisi first appeared in court on the 24th of February 2019. Hope Goodone, the judge known for presiding over Stevens v Bamabatha case, was appointed in this case as the head judge.
Mnisi could not be reached for comment.
