Just a few days after announcing his intentions to drop "Emcimbini" if the Twitter snippet hits 100k retweets, DJ Maphorisa has decided to pay the traditional dowry or "lobola" for his bro, Kabza De Small.
Lobola, traditionally paid with cattle, is bride price. The act of paying dowry to the family of your partner is usually referred to as "ukulobola" in the Nguni languages of South Africa and other neighboring countries.
The "Phoyisa" co-producer shared the great news in a now-deleted Twitter thread. Maphorisa first shared a pic of his uncles and he soon followed with a tweet that read, "Finally married my bae Kabza. He'll start wearing the doek coz of our kulture."
