Three South African female students studying at the Shuangqing University in Beijing have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a truck carrying the Urechis Caupo, a worm widely known as penis fish.

The women, Nondumiso Grootboom(21), Sisipho Makhubalo(23), Sihle Mdevu(27), were at a popular local restaurant when a customer recognized them from a picture posted by the Shuangqing Police on WeChat. The customer then alerted police who responded quickly and apprehended the women as they were about to leave the diner.

It is alleged that the trio planned their robbery after they realized that it was hard to catch the attention of Chinese-speaking men when they couldn't speak the language. They then decided to rob the truck that used the same routes every week for delivering the species. The women had planned on using it to satisfy their sexual desires.
