In a move seen as petty by masses, the South African president, Cyril Ramathrower, announced the bill just 2 months shy from December. He said this was a strategy devised by him in conjunction with the Department of Transport, Arrive When You Like and Drive Wet initiative. "My wish is to see an alcohol and road-accident free South Africa," said the president.

The announcement comes just days after the much criticized way in which he handled the recent Xenophobic attacks and femicide that is prevalent in his country. Rom Newz received an anonymous email that detailed all about the bill and the details are as follows:

• It was first suggested in 2016
• It was passed on Monday, 16th September 2019.
• It will come into effect 75 days from the date it was passed.
