A recent study by a German team of relationship and marriage experts surveying over 183 countries has picked South Africa as the first in the list. This was after many trials were prepared and questionnaires created to study relationship patterns. Over 30 000 couples from these countries were given a set of 10 questions and they were grouped based on their responses. They were then allocated accommodation and meals in different hotels in their respective countries.
The hotels selected were situated closer to shopping malls, clubs and other populated places like amusement parks where it would be easier to see as many people as possible. The participants were then given vouchers for cinemas, restaurants and other entertainment activities. A budget of approximately $109.7m was allocated with the funds coming from the hotels, other businesses and anonymous donors.
This study was carried out within a period of six months and the results were as follows:
